Brand identity and art direction for the cocktail bar “Seoul Memories Drinking Club” inspired by the last summer memories in Seoul, South Korea.
It was the first time I enjoyed a night in Seoul as an adult last summer in 2022. I explored distinct areas in Seoul city and experienced the different ambiences and vibes of bars, which are called Itaewon, Jongno, Gangnam, and even my neighbourhood. It might be too personal, but at the same time, the difference was intense for me. I desired to visualise and express each different aesthetic as a cocktail menu, which was my inspiration for the idea, and I also tried overall branding identity and art direction with this initial idea. The glass “Gangnam” is currently the only menu available, and other menus are coming up soon!

The project is a parody of one of the food delivery brands, ‘Just Eat’, dealing with the frequency of using food delivery services and the overuse of single-use cutlery and containers that has been increasing since the outbreak of COVID-19.
I aimed to make people realise the seriousness of the situation and reduce the use of food delivery services by making a badge, poster, and zine.

This project consists of two versions of posters based on data visualisation, incorporating two elements: music and place. It draws inspiration from my memories during my teenage years over the past six years.
This is a memory detail: When I was a teenager, I usually listened to my favourite songs whenever I was heading to an English institution on the bus. The specific memory is that I passed the building where my favourite music company, “SM Entertainment," was while I listened to the music from “SM Entertainment.” I was fond of the SM style of album design and music videos, and their music, of course, and this was the motivation that I wanted to be a graphic designer.
I thought that this memory led me to study graphic design here now, so this is the reason why I chose this memory.

The video art focused on the transition between light and dark by visualising the process of egg frying—raw to get burned—in a 70/80s comic-aesthetic way.

The project is to make the poster by using some physical techniques, which are screen printing and laser cutting. The poster is about the social and cultural issue in my home country, South Korea, which is North Korea, that keeps trying to strengthen the nuclear test site.
